If you need to do some washing / drying in Reykjavik then look no further than The Laundromat Cafe Situated at Austurstraeti 9, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland. Thankfully just around the corner from where we were staying at The Raddison Blue.
When you enter the cafe, you will find a bar in the center of the room with a library of books lining the whole way around the bar. There are maps on the walls and pictures of Laundromats from all over the world. So much character in this cafe.
Downstairs is where you will find the actual Laundromat! 4 washing machines and 4 dryers. Put on your washing, head upstairs to relax, have some lunch and a few beers. This place was very busy when we were there but no need to book, everyone seemed to find a table or bar stool to sit at.
Just be warned though… it is expensive in Iceland in general so 2 washes and 2 dryers will set you back $60 AUD!!! We were 2 weeks into our 6 weeks European Trip so we had to wash but it is a good idea to wash before or after your visit to Iceland!
