So, picture this… you are out for your morning walk along the Throsby Foreshore and notice a cute little restaurant Elementra tucked in The Lane at Maryville. Instantly, you’re hit with this vibe that’s all about relaxed yet refined dining. So it became a must visit.
As soon as I got back from my walk , I jumped on line to book a table. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner… hmm it definitely had to be dinner!
Arriving for our booking at Elementra and the staff greeted us like we were an old friend. While admiring the on point decor, I realised the tone for an epic dining experience had been set.
Now, onto the good stuff—the Menu. Oh boy, where do I even begin? It’s like a treasure trove of culinary delights, all made with sustainably and ethically sourced ingredients and a serious dose of creativity. Choosing what to order is a challenge in the best way possible. So we didn’t choose… well we did but we went with the Chef’s Choice. What is this I hear you say!!! Well, all we had to do was sit back, relax and allow the Chef to prepare and serve us their choice for the night.
- Oysters
- Kingfish Sashimi – tomato, chilli + coriander
- Red Lentil + Carrot Dip – toasted chilli oil, crispy chickpea + charred bread
- Potato Scallops – taramasalata, furlkake + salmon caviar
- Pumpkin, Eggplant & Silverbeet Rotolo – smoked tomato & red pepper emulsion, fenugreek
- Tamari Glazed Beef Shortrib – szechuan potato, pickled carrot + sesame
- Grilled Beans – almond satay + crispy onions
- Black Sesame Frangipane – strawberries, buttermilk + matcha
But you know what really took the experience to the next level? The service. Seriously, the Elementra team know how to make you feel like royalty. From start to finish, they were all about making sure we had the best possible time, offering recommendations and catering to every whim with a smile.
As I reluctantly said goodbye to Elementra, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d just been on the culinary adventure of a lifetime. From the mouthwatering dishes to the top-notch service and that cozy-chic ambiance, it was an evening I won’t soon forget… Elementra Restaurant? Consider me a loyal fan.
